Andres Carvallo, also known as the Smart Grid Godfather, who is now the CEO of CMG, a strategy and advisory consulting firm focus on Smart Energy, Smart Utilities, Smart Cities, and Smart Buildings. Andres was hired out of college by Microsoft to be the Windows Product Manager, he also built businesses for SCO (UNIX), Borland (Databases, Languages), Digital Equipment Corporation ($2 billion in computers) and Philips Electronics ($2.5 billion in cellular & wireless phones, and pagers) afterwards, and then did four startups in telecom and Internet from 2000 to 2002. He then joined Austin Energy and built the first smart grid in the world from 2003 to 2010, which he followed with two IoT platform companies that he built and finally deciding to create CMG in 2014.
Larry Cheng is the Global Sales Director, Logistics and Smart Buildings, within the IOT Global Sales Group. He has over 23 years of experience at Intel in global sales leadership, marketing strategy, and business transformation positions, and has lived and worked in multiple geographies worldwide. Larry has spent most of his career within Intel’s Sales and Marketing Group wherein he’s held numerous key roles, including serving as the Director of the PRC Embedded Sales Group, Global Sales Director for Intel’s Online Embedded Sales, Geography Marketing Manager for Asia Pacific, and many more. Larry currently resides in Minnesota with his wife and two children.
Jim Frazer leads the Infrastructure and Smart Cities consulting team at ARC, with a focus on the nine vertical applications of a Smart City, and the seven critical technologiesthat impact them. Jim has over 30 years experience in this domain with a focus on intelligent transportation systems, smart grid, and smart city applications and technologies.
Scott McBrayne is Senior Director, National Operations (Shared Services) at Cadillac Fairview Corporation. Mr. McBrayne leads the company's strategic approach on building renewal, capital programs which include sustainability and building efficiency programs. McBrayne has held several positions over the past 24 years at Cadillac Fairview including portfolio operations and working in the Technology group. The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited is one of North America’s largest owners, operators and developers of commercial real estate. Cadillac Fairview focuses on developing and managing high quality office, retail and mixed-use properties in Canada and the United States, as well as international investments in real estate companies and investment funds.
Darlene Pope is Vice President and Global Lead for Smart Buildings and Digital Workplace Experience at WeWork. Ms. Pope is a smart building industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, technology, and smart building consulting.
David Valle is the VP of Marketing & Business Development for AGORA Summits. Prior to his work with the Summits, David was a Sr. Research Analyst and the Director of Business Development with ZPRYME Market Research & Consulting. With over 12 years of Management, Marketing and Business Development experience, David brings a young perspective to an ever changing Industry. David received his Bachelor of Science in Geography, with a Minor in Business Administration, from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. David is a Native Texan living in Alpharetta, GA and enjoys playing golf during his time off.
Greg Walker is an accomplished research and business operations professional with many years of experience in science research and strategic business planning for non-profit and Fortune 500 companies. His skill set includes: biomedical science and building science research, project management, financial forecasting, sales and marketing, contract negotiations, and personnel management. Mr. Walker has worked directly with senior management (Directors, Vice Presidents, and CEOs) at various organizations including government research agencies, universities, hospitals, engineering firms, and private sector companies. He has also been a guest speaker at several industry conferences throughout North America and the world. Mr. Walker holds a BA. and BSc. from the University of Windsor and an MSc. from Dalhousie University, and currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
